The trick is to not let this feeling die out. For tips on keeping this inspiration I recommend you read my free New Year’s Resolutions Guide.
For those of you who haven’t set New Year’s Resolutions, I offer the following insight on getting started. The blog Life Evolver recently listed five great ideas for making your 2011 goals. Though not specific resolutions, they are thought-starters to get your on your way.
My favorite is #3: Spend More Time Living in the Present.
Though everyone should be planning their lives out day by day, week by week, and month by month, it’s also important to remember every minute why you’re doing what you’re doing.
You accomplish this by:
- Writing your goals and values into your day planner
- Including what’s important to you as you plan your tasks and appointments
- Maintaining an awareness of what’s important as you perform your daily duties
- Stopping to reflect – don’t get caught up in the busy-ness of your day
Spend some time on your Resolutions this weekend and please share some of your thoughts here on spending more time living in the present.
