I’m sure you know by now that your planner is the most talented organizational tool on your desk. But did you know that you can use it to save money when you shop?
In today’s uncertain economy, it’s no secret that record numbers of people have turned to coupons once more to save on food, groceries, and pharmacy products. Being a successful “couponer” however requires an investment of your time and just a little bit of organization.
That’s where your planner comes in… Here’s how it can help:
• Cut out only the coupons you know you will use, arrange them by expiration date, then store them in your planner’s built-in pockets or vinyl storage pouch.
• Scour the weekly grocery flyers for special deals on the things you use. Note which stores are offering double or triple coupons. Write this information in your planner, so you’ll be prepared when you head toward the store.
• Keep track of store rebates. Again, your planner is the perfect place to log that information.
• Use coupons to save even more on items that are on sale. Each week, plan your shopping trip and keep track of the stores who are offering the best deals.
If clipping coupons has become your Sunday morning routine, it pays to use your planner to organize and streamline your weekly shopping trips.
