How Can BP Be More Productive?

Yacht race anyone?

It’s already one of the largest environmental disasters of our generation and the clock is ticking on finding a solution for the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. However, BP Chief Executive Tony Hayward is again under fire after taking this weekend off to attend a yacht race.

We want to know your thoughts. How should BP leadership be more productive with its time?

  1. Great comments! I’d love to hear more ideas how people would focus their time if they faced this crises.

  2. Tony Hayward needs to get his priorities in order. This does not necessarily mean not attending the yacht race (everyone is entitled to some time off). He needs to make sure that the media have their focus on something else for the day besides him – maybe a positive in the progress of the the clean up – anything really, that allows him some space to refresh and then refocus on the enormous task ahead of him.

  3. I’ll say it in one word, DELEGATE. Let the people use their know how to find ways to take care of their own areas. There are a lot of great ideas out there!
